freeze when I load a campaign(medieval)

I wanted to start a new campaign but then the game freezes.
Can I do something about that?

downloading a file you'll find hanging around the internet that you use to replace some buttons might work but probably won't. the best way in my experience (to remove the family of related glitches you'll probably be endless tormented with) was to just remove the video card, or if you like you could disable it. more specifically run your monitor through the older video card on your motherboard which mtw will be much more likely to like. I know it sounds extreme but this is what i found to be the best solution, after days of trying different things suggested online and none of them working. these problems are caused by a video card error, no new video card, no problem.
