Default Well, is there anyway to make SPQR disappear by making Rome rebels?

I have tried this before, putting a lot of Spies into Rome and want to make it rebels... However, although the public order of Rome always lower than 50, but it never rebels! So I want to ask, is there anyway to make Rome rebels?

Rome cannot rebel, and in V 1.5 (May apply to all versions) you cannot make any Roman faction lose a city (To my knowledge any in Italy) by rebellion due to Spies. You can make the chances for the gate opening over 100%, though, and if there is a puny garrison in the city you will be able to take it quickly.

Oh. Well, you cannot topple the Roman Senate via use of spies. I know, I've tried this before. Filled Rome with spies and got it to 35% Happiness, but it did not rebel. CA did something to prevent an easy taking of Rome. The good part to it was that the chances of my spies opening the gates was well beyond 150%... :original:

i suppose then that your spies would open the gate and then some... perhaps roll out the red carpet for your army's grand entrance while there at it
