    Default Print screen...then what?

Ok so I freezed a video and pressed "print screen". I then oppened paint and pressed CTRL+C to get the image there and then I save the image.

Now the problem is that the image is 885 kb and a bitmap image...what I would like to know is how to make the image to jpeg and lower the filesize...any tips?

Microsoft paint will save it in different formats (I use .gif for my walkthroughs). Another option is to download GIMP wjich is a seriously good freeware (open source) picture editing suite which will allow yu to do pretty much anything you want.

I've got both but I just use paint if I just want to change file-types

In Paint when you press 'save as' there are two boxes, one for the filename which you want the image to have, and below that is a pull-down menu. From the pull down menu you can choose the various formats that Paint supports. You want to choose JPEG from this list and then press save

Don't use .JEPG use .PNG it's a smaller file format and it is always small enough to upload to imagehshack if you need too.

Like he said, never ever ever ever save an image as a .jpg. PNG files have similar compression and don't lose any image quality.

.JPG are usually better for Pictures, like photoquality, if you are in that business. For certain pictures, .JPG is better than .PNG, vice versa. It really doesnt matter. Besides, who uses Imageshack? Photobucket =pwnage.

So you don't see this when you try to save a file in paint?
