So a couple weeks ago, my computer started running slowly. My Advanced System Care (for anyone who uses that) was saying my performance was a D rating. It happened all quite suddenly, and I didn't know what to do.
I took it to IT on my college campus and they figured out it was a virus, and after helping me update Malware Bytes and Spybot Search and Destroy and running them, the computer started running faster, but nowhere near the capacity it was beforehand.
Now it is starting to act slower again. The performance rating hasn't gone down, accordning to ASC, but the CPU usage remains high, and even when it is low it runs slower than it should.
Now it looks as if my usage of Turbo Booster from Advanced System Care has run out (free version, never mentioned that it was a trial). Everything else works fine, and I clean out my pc everyday, but it doesn't seem to help. I can slowly see my computer steadily getting slower and slower every day. Even my remaining booster (also from iObit, Gamebooster), isn't helping much.
My question is, what can I do to fix this? I recently even went through my computer and cleaned out a bunch of junk, and freed up around 34 GB of space, which helped temporarily. But it is still not running as well as it was BEFORE all this happened, which makes no sense in my opinion.
This is all incredibly frustrating. I hate having to consider spending money on stuff, especially since I have almost no money, but I can't keep going like this.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
