Default Custom unit cards not displaying for custom unit, help plz.

Hey all, I just created a new unit and it works well in-game. But, when trying to alter the unit card for my new unit, it just doesn't show. i.e. I made monks use katana, so I wanted to change the unit card pic from default naginata monks to katana monks. I'm using someone else's mod that alters unit cards just for personal use only, and practice. I won't be uploading it or anything without asking them for permission, first.

The problem is that the default naginata monks unit card pic always shows up for my katana monks, even though I added new files to the UI directory and sub-directories (icons, icons_square, recruitment_large, recruitment_small, etc.) I'm sure they're the correct files because they work in the other person's mod. I've renamed it and everything. So, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The New unit you have created you must input the name of the unit in the two paths within units_tables (Unit Icon Path and Unit Icon Info Path)

Hey Toon, thx for helping and luv ur mod.

I've tried everything and it still didn't work. For the 'Unit Icon Path' and 'Unit Info Pic Path' I noticed that most infantry have the value 'placeholder'. When I compared it to the other person's mod, he/she also has 'placeholder' for both unit info and unit icon paths. The only way I was able to make it show up in game was if I actually replaced the default 'ashigaru_inf_naginata_warrior_monks.tga' with the new file, but kept the default name 'ashigaru_inf_naginata_warrior_monks.tga'. In other words, it was 'ashigaru_inf_naginata_warrior_monks.tga', but with a new picture. Also, this was only with katana monks replacing naginata monks (no more naginata monk units in game, only katana monks in game). But, if I have both naginata monks and katana monks in game, then the default unit naginata monk cards get assigned to both my katana and naginata monks, lol.

    For 'Unit Icon Path', let's say I have a file 'katana_monks.tga'. Do I put 'katana_monks'? Or, 'ui/units/icons/katana_monks'? I'm confused.

Edit: Solved, for me at least! It seems you have to create a brand new variant model for each new unit card icon and have it imported into your pack. Then in uniforms_tables, place the new name of model under 'Uniform Variant' column.
