it will be out of date in 2 years anyways, CA really likes the graphic whore share of the market and tend to focus on that before anything else. All the about Dx11 and AA dosent really counter that, since without those the game was still way more graphically demanding then empire or napoleon. (and it proves my point to, there was at least one thread demanding CA get put on some BBC watchlist of bad companys because AA wasnt available the week of release or some bull like that, honestly how dumb can people get?)

Or they might announce it at E3, next year. I imagine CA-haters will see a June announcement as saying they are not going to fix all the massive faults that S2TW has, and how they will never buy TW again. (That tune gets old).

the next engine has likley been in development since empire was released. The warscape engine itself was begun shortly after rome was released, because CA works in two teams. Every two games so far they have released a new engine, they milked warscape a bit by saying napoleon was a full game but i doubt they will have 'four' games on it. They will have an expansion for S2, although it remains to be seen if its going to be an expansion or a stand alone expansion.

Although i have my hhopes for dark ages total war(Migration, vikings AND rise of islam) All in one game covering eurasia

as long as it has europe in it will be good.there is always something interesting going on there
