Witness the change in Spain in the centre of Madrid, "la Plaza del Sol"
Im' Spanish, so I know what this is about, read carefully.
The protests are for the following:
- We want "Suscripción única"
Which means that we want all the votes in Spain to have the same value. That's right, you just read that. Right now all the votes do not count the same. A vote given to a regional nationalist party counts 7 times a vote for a national party. So actually, by law (right now), catalan, vasque, etc nationalists have 7 times the power they should have. It's as if the vote of a Scottish independentist counted 7 times the vote of an English laborist for example.
- We want "Separación de poderes"
Right now there is almost no independence between the 3 powers of state. And, this is lame, parties choose the judges, which later on are the ones judging the corrupt guys from the parties. So... what happens? There is actually no real fight against corruption. And what is more, when somebody (Like Camps from the PP or Chaves from the PSOE) gets the stamp of 'corrupt' he can keep in politics, as if nothing had happened.
There is more stuff apart from this. We want the end of the bipartidism between PP and PSOE, which is destroying Spain. Cause they don't actually work for the good of the country, they just insult the one another and fight for the next elections. And we also want the end of the regional nationalist parties, which pact with them. They are all like babies. They are irresponsible and have no ethic.
+ We have the support of Anonymus as we are also asking for the end of the 'Ley Sinde', which basicly means they can close any web they want and so on for the violation of copyright, etc. Which is a great hit to our freedom in the internet. Specially after making us pay the famous 'canon', which is basicly an X money in each virgin CD, DVD, etc, which is suposed to be a compensation for piracy.
PD: Thanks to the European Union the canon was destroyed, but prices of CDs and DVDs didn't go down and are the same than before. That's what's Spain now.
