Default Non-believers exploiting the ignorance of Christian beliefs.

    http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/Home_Page.html

This company sells an insurance policy for people who are worried that their pet wont be joining them in the Rapture. This service, run by non-believers who will be "left behind" after the Rapture, will take care of your pets that obviously wont be going to 'people' heaven. In the meanwhile, they'll gladly accept Christian money which the devout wont be needing anyways.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I strongly recommend the FAQ and Terms and Conditions portions of the site.

Christians, does this offend you, or rather, might you find yourself with need of such services? You don't want your goldfish to die when you get kidnapped by Jesus, do you?

This whole rapture thing is not even main-stream Christian. Also if you are foolish enough to get fleeced like this then sorry. I love my pets but come on.

I didn't realize that mainstream Christianity disregards the books of Matthew and Thessalonians. I hope you're not going to suggest the Book of Revelations as a more respectable alternative

Considering the bible clearly states it is not for man to know the hour of Christ's return, this prediction for the Rapture based on a supposed mathematical code found in the bible can hardly be considered a "Christian belief".

It's a trick! Don't trust unbelievers with your pets! Once you're raptured off they're going to make Schnitzel out of your Schnauzer!

I firmly believe that 10 years is just as arbitrary as 1 year. The is of equal purity levels.

As a Christian, I'd rather let my pets fend for themselves than have some filthy heathen care for it!

Surely Christians wouldn't let us heathens starve in the afterlife?

Since Jesus obviously wasn't even the Messiah why is anyone worried about this? You might as well be awaiting the return of Bar Kokhba or Zarathustra or even Kurosh the Great...

Funny?: yes. Innovative?: yes. Potentially offensive?: I hope so.

Oh yes it is so obvious...except for the 2 billion plus people that believe he was.

The actual reason not to be worried about this (not that anyone is), is that it has no basis in scripture. So whether you're a Christian or not, there is not even an iota of plausibility to this theory, even working within the Christian framework, let alone a secular one.

I'm not going to say Judaism is true because I'm a skeptic, but if it is there is no way in hell Jesus was their messianic hero and they somehow screwed up and killed him since they're quite adamant the Messiah was going to be a philosopher king and peerless general who would unite mankind and bring a golden age. A bit more God Emperor of Dune, a bit less Jerry Garcia.

It wouldn't be the first time a billion+ people shared a stupid, ill-founded belief. Common acceptance does not equate to the truth unless you think the earth is flat and the sun revolves around us.

So the Jewish messiah would be a drug addicted monstrosity that can read our minds and have inter-species intercourse? Sign me up.

Certainly, but your example is a poor one, as a "flat earth" was never a widely accepted idea, but rather an invention of anti-theists with which to perpetuate the idea of a conflict between science and religion. (http://www.asa3.org/ASA/topics/history/1997Russell.html)

My point is that Jesus' being the Messiah can hardly be considered "obviously" untrue. As for Tartleton's point about the Jewish description of the Messiah, I'll go ahead and link you to the wiki on the matter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messian...ecies_of_Jesus

Every verse on that page is riddled with plot holes by its Jewish commentary.

Flat Earth was absolutely the mainstay belief of Earth's shape until very recently in human history. Regardless of what your simple text .org source has to say about it. (that being an invention by evil "anti-theists") You are the guy who doesn't base any of his assertions on actual facts, should I take your word for it?
