just a few questions easily answerable with a yes or no. that way you dont tell too much

1. are the first names and the surnames going to be actual names that come from that region?

2. will there be minor houses that will be starting as vassals to the major/royal houses?

3. i know that many people have said before that they wish jaime or tyrion could inherit the lannister line and i think for the "hand" could be an ancillary for a king such as joffrey and in the lannister line (tyrion) is this possible?

4. is this mod going to be done before DWD is out? lol sorry couldnt resist guys

1- not quite sure what you mean. Most generals will be ones mentioned in the books aside from adopted generals and those random names will be from a list of Westeros type names.

2-Only minor house is house Frey so far. Any region not in control of a playable faction will simply be a rebel faction.

3- The way things are set up with Tyrion and Jaime work out well with the books. Tywin would never allow Tyrion to become lord of Casterly Rock (although I hope that happens later in the books) and Tyrion plays a larger role in the Kings landing area in the books apart from the battle at the green fork which was a minor role so he fits better in the Joffrey faction. Jaime has said he has no interest in leaving the Kingsgaurd and therefore cant inherit Casterly Rock but he does have a more significant role in the Lannister faction during the time this mod is set so he fits well as a general for the Lannisters. It is possible to make him the faction leader by adopting him and killing off the other heirs.
I like the kings hand ancillary being something a non-king general has. It makes the general better rather than the faction leader who aside from Joffrey and Robert will probably be pretty awesome anyway. Other ancillaries such as Lordships will be transferable in the full version and I assume the Kings Hand will be as well so you can still "apoint" someone to the position

4- Probably not >_< they are making significant progress but ADWD is only a couple months away and we still don't have previews for some of the factions.

What he means is how the Daynes are from Dorne and how the Umbers are from the North, and so forth. This would be accomplished by setting up specific faction and/or culture lists of acceptable surnames so we don't see the name Darry used in the Iron Islands or some such.

Ah! Yes from what I remember adopted generals, agents, and people marrying into family trees are named according to region. Although I think it is more of what faction you are playing as opposed to what region you are recruiting from

Jaime summed it up well; However there is one small thing that`s not quite accurate: There will be no rebel settlements. At the moment each town belongs to a faction- If you want to expand your kingdom you`ll have to start a war.

thanks gents! and as for number 1. i was refering to compared to 0.53v Alpha. bc some surnames dont belong and some firstnames are kinda outa place. i cant remember but i think it was lannister and out of no where i was almost adopting a plantaganet lol just wondering how accurate it would be. i know alot of names are interchangeable and the books give a metric ton of them so it was just a thought

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOD DAMNIT! Finished reading the books looong ago (discovered the story through this mod). Played this mod, or at least the alpha, as much as anyone can play. Now, Dance with Dragons is coming, Game of Thrones series is here, I couldn't be more "into" Song of Ice and Fire.. and the only thing missing is.. this mod
