    Thank you all for kind words and support. I really appreciate it.

    Meanwhile, couple more ship icons:

    Those are: Trade ship, Red Seal Ship, Siege tower bune, Sengoku Bune, Cannon Bune and Caravel.

    Continuing to use your icon set. I find that the subtle shape and color variations between units are enough to tell them apart at a glance. Briefly tried the colored backgrounds, but found it unnecessary. The new ships look great

    To have these show for the recruitment queue as well, I assume all I'd need to do was repack with the appropriate substitutions. Are those images different sizes?

    edit: Ah, I see there are large and small variations for the mouse-over effect. Do you know where the square icons are used in game?

    Great job on the AUM and S2R unit cards!

    IMO this mod needs more attention! Maybe Darth Vader would add this to his as a submod?

    Can you also a portrait mod, make your based on unit icon mods?
    Please also sketched portrait, no pictures (photograph) that fits together with Unit Icon Mod is not good.

    As for character pictures... It's not easy to make 80 pictures of generals that will differ one from the other.
    But, to be frank, I thought about that. I've even started making those pictures in style more fitting this of my unit mod:

    but I had to admit to myself, that the effect was not that different from orginal game art (maybe it was even worse), and I would be just wasting my time making those.
    Right now I'm using Elvasat portrait mod, and it doesn't bother me that style differs- I even find that a good thing. And with those pictures character gain more... hm, personality.

    Indeed the line between generic art , and say unique 'exciting' art is small. I must agree that your original works are of a better caliber than these portraits, though your efforts are applauded. I use Elvasat portraits with your Icon mod, descent combo.

    Really loving these unit cards, just 2 questions.

    1. Any plans to make a version of this for Zenmod?

    2. Is there any way your cards can replace the Vanilla icons from the recruitment tab?

    Thanks for making these mate, my favourite unit cards by far. Also, I didnt think the hidden UI would make much difference but now i can't play without it, good job.

    1. I can make such plans. I've had a look at ZenMod Basic and it seems that there is only couple of units that require new icons, so I'll get to it, as soon as I can. I enjoy making those cards, so it will be fun.

    2. There is a way... but I'm rather lazy and it is ungrateful, wearisome task
    I don't know why, but CA decided to make two separate icons for recruitment: one normal, and second one ,little bigger , for mouse-over effect (why couldn't they use one and shrink/enlarge it in-game?). It's double work for me and so far I was quite happy with vanilla recruitment icons, and felt no urge to change them.

    Thanks mate, cards for zenmod would be awesome. I understand re the unit icons its not that important really i just wondered about it.

    I really appreciate help offers guys
    This actually made me double my efforts, and after sacrifacing few hours of sleep, I've prepared a recruitment icons pack with all vanilla unit icons included. Standard color version only.
    Here's how it looks like in-game:


    Pack is a movie type, so simply unzip into data folder.
    Let me know what you think.

    Yes, I do, but I'm little confused, since this mod is changing rather rapidly
    In current version there seems to be only one unit icon that isn't included in my vanilla or AUM icon pack (yari bumaru-with icon looking like katana ashigaru), while in previous version I downloaded (4.0) there were at least 3 or 4 uniqe units.

    There should be a few, theres Bumaru which you mentioned, Jizmarai(currently has Tachi swordsmen icon), Sanpei wako(currently has bow wako icon), theres Dragoon style unit which i forget the name of and a few more faction specific units(i.e Oda Ashigaru-Gashira).

    I added your recruitment icons btw, makes a huge difference to me, loving it.

    Well, I only check the icons included in the mod pack file, not the mod in game, and in ZenMod 4.2 there are 2 icons not included in vanilla or AUM versions of my mod: Bumaru and Jizamurai. If other units use existing icons, I don't interfere with that.
    I've made icons for those two units,

    so if you place all 3 packs in data folder(vanilla, aum and zenmod) all unit cards should be covered (if I didn't missed something). Only basic, non-colored version for now.

    Let me know if that works, because I can't check this in-game atm.
