Welcome to the forums! But no. I already answered this. Not to be mean or anything, but the moderators REALLY don't like people bumping topics. (:
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=261921 is the best thread most often to put single questions in, even to just ask 'direction' to mods of special character![]()

we intented to add the army of the dead with " Ozz's New Units Project ", but the plan was left in development stage, mainly because the mod was abandoned. here's the wip model, taken from LOTR:TW. i never got to finish it:

thx so much for the answers

in the suggestions thread someone came up with a really cool and balanced idea..to just make "the army of the dead" a single general unit with full dread and all kinfds of fear traits for the general and the unit (frighten foot and mounted units ect)
could you just give the model you created a helmet and do that ,releasing it as a mini-submod? maybe scripting them to spawn for just a few turns 2-3 after gondor accepts aragorn return or something like that
it's been suggested many times that the army of the dead can be an incapable of real fighting unit, but causing most other units to rout, something like the whitch-kings special ability, but permanent. for the time being, i don't have the time to work on them and the scripting part while be kinda hard, as i'm pretty novice to scripting whatsoever. plus, there are other implications, like having to ask the guys from LOTR:TW for permission, since the unit's texture is almost entirely from their mod. all in all, i might work on the project as some project and maybe release them as minimod or even a ressource. thanks for the idea anyway.
if your planing on making them a single cavalry -generals bg- unit, maybe you should also check the text-script section in the mod workshop as someone (i think eothese ) made it possible for cavalry units (only ..lets hope even for infantry in the future) to go berserk
if you resolve all other matters maybe the ideal would be to have that -single unit- for just 2 turns but ,besides the fear also capable of fighting (and kicking ass)

I just had to say something about this topic. I think that the army of dead has to be in the mod. Maybe it could be done this way. Aragorn has to find pieces of Narsil and then forge Andúril and when he does that he can get the option to recruit the dead army. Then he has to march straight to Mordor and use up all the movement points in each turn or tha army disbands. They stay until Mordor is taken and then are disbanded. Or could be used still only to hunt down Sauron and then they go away for ever. They would be very strong units but you could use them for only that time after you obtain needed conditions. And you could make only one stack of infantry like in the books. I think it is a shame that they are not in the mod. If they were present in the game for that short period of time it would be like in the books and it would not mess up the game in the long run. Maybe?
you can't have semi-transparent textures in M2TW like in rome, you can either have them totally transparent(invisible) or not at all (the "1 bit alpha" thing in ps). this is no major drawback though, you can make them "rugged" and maybe with holes on the models.
edit: btw, if i was to make such a mod, i would never make them a strong unit. i ususally prefer to stick to the lore and, in LOTR, the only thing they did was scare the hell out of the easterlings that threatened gondor

They scared the crap out of them, but where does it say they were weak?
Eh, thats too bad, I always throught differently. I could swear that often I had transparend models, maybe just my memory isnt that goodyou can't have semi-transparent textures in M2TW like in rome, you can either have them totally transparent(invisible) or not at all (the "1 bit alpha" thing in ps). this is no major drawback though, you can make them "rugged" and maybe with holes on the models..
some people have attemted to create semi-transparent models with dotted black-white alpha channels, without great success.
@neige noire: if i remember correctly, they were incapable of physically harming people. likewise, they couldn't be harmed...
Actually it doesnt give a conclusive answer. It says that none of the Gondorians (or perhaps Aragorn and co.) saw them harm anyone as the corsairs fled before them.
if they couldn't actually harm anyone ,then whats the point in "guarding" the passage ,partecipating in a battle in order to fulfill their oath to help in battle etc ..?
anyway, who caresif someone actually does them maybe he could be kind enough to upload two files or give instructions how to mod his file into making them "material" or "imaterial" ..
it would have to be a modeler anyway ,since the idea is lacking its base..the models
I always wanted Gondor to have the army of the dead in a similar way to the LOTR TW mod for RTW.
