As a Galwegian, all I can say is, "Screw you Lizzie, we're important too, honest!" These royal things tend not to involve us people in The West. The best we could get was Prince Albert of Monaco a few weeks ago. Pfft.

Anyway, it seems to be passing mostly without incident. Really, the more republican heads get cracked by the Gardaí, the happier I'll be.

Shes visiting Cork thats the west Maybe kissing the Blarney stone?Around Cork there is alot of touristy things and the lakes of Killarney is a beautifull place to viset.Then shes off to Kildare so shes doing alot of visiting

I suppose you have to remember that Ireland is rather tiny, she'll have no problem getting where she wants to fairly sharpish. That is, not withstanding our horribly embarrassing lack of road infrastructure.

No it isn't. And it's special because it's the first head of state visit from the UK to EIRE since EIRE gained it's independence. It's meant to represent the improvement in relations between the two states. Which for obvious reasons have been strained for most of the past century.
