    Default Lucid Dreaming

First off, a lucid dream is a dream where you are aware of that you are dreaming, in case someone didn't know.

I have lucid dreams 1-2 times a week, and it's great fun when it happens. It's possible to do anything - spawn objects and characters, flying, kill people for fun and much, much more.

But to become aware of your dreaming state - and have a lucid dream - you need to find out that you are dreaming, which can be prove to be difficult. Basicly look after 'fishy' things to become aware of your dreaming.

Here's my advises for lucid dreaming
    - The only thing needed to make something happen is to believe it will happen, as it can impossibly occur otherwise. If you are having problems to make things happen with the mind's power alone, then yell commands loudly, and be determined while doing so.
    - To spawn objects or characters, you need to think of the object/character you want to spawn and its details (I'd also advise you to make it spawn behind you, as I find it easier that way, personally).
    - If you want to have a sex dream, for example, and find it easy to forget the male/female body details, then look on pictures of naked men/women - or crayons videos - right before going to bed (this is what many chose to dream about, hence why I picked this example).

NOTE: Don't think too hard, or get too excited or shocked, as that will probably cause you to wake up. Try to be as calm as you possibly can.

Here's a link to a site dedicated to lucid dreaming, where it's possible to find more information: http://www.dreamviews.com/

If there already is a topic for lucid dreaming, then give me its link.

Very interesting! I've never had lucid dreams, all of my dreams (I have about one or two a month) are quite different: I rarely remember what I saw in that dream, only that I dreamed about something. Is it something you can learn?

Yes, it is possible - at least from what I have heard. Look in this link I gave in the first post: http://www.dreamviews.com/

Its most certainly possible, as are out of body experiences, imo. I've been meditating for a while to try and strengthen my mind, but it doesnt seem to help me much with lucid dreaming, I've read up on it and what I'm supposed to do is keep "sleep diary's", after every dream im supposed to write down what I dreamt, how I felt etc...and keep a log. I'm too lazy to do that though. My mind is weak, clouded with drugs and fast food, I'm undisciplined and weak willed...so I doubt I'll be able to do the wild things we hear about, such as disconnecting from your body and floating into another dimension to converse with entities...I WANT that...but so far, no luck

I have lucid dreams sometimes too, the problem is though, that I'm not trained enough to realize im dreaming and stay asleep at the same time. Shortly after my realization, I inevitably wake up. Its a real bummer.

I also have a tough time controlling things in my dream, it often seems more like the dream is controlling me. I'll be fighting some ghoul in my dream and I try to run swiftly to get a better angle on my foe, I and I run as if I were running underwater or in quicksand or something....just sloooow...

If I was trained, I bet I could be like Neo in the matrix in my dreams...but I'm weak....WEEAAAAK!

i have the same thing, once in a dream i threw a brick at a window, and someone got in the way, the brick floated through the air and then bounced off them with absolutly no effect (probably would have bounced off the window anyway).

as for lucid dreams, i have them occasionally. its usually when i dont have to be up at the usual time, my body half wakes up but the alarm doesnt stop me from carrying on dreaming. there cool dreams, i feel ****** of when i get woken from one.

I have had something like lucid dreaming before. Whats really cool is that sometimes I can wake myself up. I am sleeping, but I just think to myself its time to wake up and then I wake up. But I havent actually controlled my dream before.

Hehe, RZZZA, just get some drugs that boost concentration (don't know if it helps while dreaming, though).

No, it doesnt, I've tried. You go into a black sleep...where youre just kinda out like a light, you dont dream at all.

Sometimes I have them when I go back to sleep after my alarm goes off the first time. I will dream that I get up and get ready and stuff, then always something not normal happens, and I'm like, "oh, I'm still dreaming, might as well make the best of it" but usually my second alarm wakes me up soon after.

I dream all the time though, or at least I do sometimes. I will go through a period where I dream every night for a month, then I won't dream for a few weeks at a time, etc. They are usually pretty good too.

My dreams are usually about something I have thought a lot about, but its completely ****ed up and weird. I am usually very freaked out about what I have dreamt, but after a hvile I forget it, even though I have very good memory

There is a file at Warp My mind that says it allows you to lucid dream. It hypnotises you and then somehow makes you a lucid dreamer. I haven't tried the lucid dreaming but the hypnotism works.

Last night I lucidly dreamt that Darth Vader ordered me to destroy the Terminator. There was a furious exchange of gunfire, while I kept backing away around corners so Arnie couldn't get a clear shot at me. Then I had to pick a woman up and break her spine over my knee - and I thought I was being supercool, but it didn't kill her outright so I felt like an idiot, and had to give her a shot from my blaster rifle to finish it before Vader noticed.

I remember about 2-3 dreams every week, however I only remember fragments. Ive had lucid dreams before (not in a year or 2 though) and like RZZA immediatly after realizing I wake up. Its werid though, when you realize your dreaming you can also ''feel'' the room around you. When you sleep, you dont feel yourself breathing, or feel the bed. But when you have a lucid dream you do! (or at least I do). Immediatly after realizing I think to myself ''Ok dont open your eyes dont open your eyes'' but by then I can already feel my eyes opening. One time I was dreaming, trying to stop my eyes from opening so as I slept I moved my hands over my eyes! It was the strangest thing! I felt like I was in two worlds, I was dreaming and could talk (i talked too) and move in reality! Hasn't happened in ages though...

I don't feel anything from reality when I'm dreaming. It only happens when I'm about to wake up, but that doesn't count.
