Then of course Sam, in complete euphoria from Lembas overdose and severe pain from addiction, abandons everything important to him in life. Sad what drugs can do to people.

Silliest part of the movies to me, I literally laughed while wondering why the character would do this over being blamed for eating bread. He just went all that way with his best bud, knows he didn't eat the bread (I hope, maybe he doubted himself), knows Gollum did something and realized the reason why already, and commences to climbing back down the way he came to eff off back to the Shire despite all of this. Hilarious. Then he finds the bread and realizes, finally... as if his grumbling stomach wasn't enough, that he did not eat it. Even more hilarious. I am actually laughing right now just typing it. On top of all that, it did not not seem like he took the bread back up with him.
