How to change textures?

Hello, I have some simple questions.

Where can I find the textures (exspecially generals)?

How can I extract them?

Is there any way to work on and change the unit textures.

Or should we wait for extra modding tools for it?

If anyone suggests something that would be real great and appreciated.

Textures are in "models2.pack" (or some later patch pack file) in variantmodels/units/atlas folder.
extract dds files with PFM and change them the way you want.
I'm not sure where general's textures are, but I would suggest special_diffuse.dds

There should be some tutorials on those things in Napoleon section of the forums (it's basically the same system):

I found one problem pertaining to shogun specifically. When ever I try to use an avatar unit part and put it on units and generals, in game it comes out with no textures.

How do I get the edited textures back into the .pack file?
Just moving it in there via PFM?
