Re: Death movies
Please check General Death videos and if necessary apply the info for medieval preferences to your ss config.

Re: Death movies
Possible that UAC reverts your changes OR the changes aren't saved in the first place.

Re: Death movies
C:\.................\Medieval II Total War\medieval2.preference.cfg
C:\.................\Medieval II Total War\\mods\SS6.4\default.cfg
Those are the two files that have the setting you need to change. If editing them doesnt work just delete them, the game will recreate a standard version. If that fails then I've run out of ideas.

Re: Death movies
Hmm.. Today when i started my game a message from windows appeared and it said that the game have to recreate the .cfg archieve i press ok and the game started,but when i go to play battle and general died there was no dead movie.I went to file and saw that my pc made a file same such as the deafult.cfg but it was renamed to ss6.3.cfg i deleted it with medieval.cfg as you proposed but when i start the ss it's says that it have to recreate cfg file and again renamed to ss6.3.cfg and no default.cfg.Now i reinstall it.
edit:medieval.cfg i working right the only problem is the ss6.3.cfg file

Re: Death movies
[video]
no_background_fmv=true
unit_detail=high
movies=false
windowed=true
borderless_window=true
stencil_shadows=true
[game]
unlimited_men_on_battlefield=1
label_settlements=1
event_cutscenes=false
allusers=1
micromanage_all_settlements=1
advisor_verbosity=0
label_characters=false
Let's try this once more, change the bold entries in ss6.3.cfg or default.cfg (really doesnt matter which one you have...) to true.
