FactionWideAncillaryExists and WorldWideAncillaryExists

Could some kind soul confirm the following: do the two commands of the title of this message work ONLY in export_descr_ancillaries.txt, and not at all in e.g. background script. I've been trying to understand why the following line about FactionWideAncillaryExists seems to default to "yes" even though the someancillary is not there (the counter is set to 5 always):

monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType huns
        and FactionWideAncillaryExists someancillaryname
        advance_advice_thread PromptThreadHuns 1    
        set_counter countername 5
end_monitor

While trying to understand the correct usage of FWAE, I found this: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=415079. Could someone confirm that it is indeed always the case that it cannot be used in a background script?

WorldWideAncillaryExists works in background scripts. I've used it successfully before. I've never tried using FactionWideAncillaryExists in a background script.

It won't work in that monitor because the exports for FactionwideAncillaryExists are not exported by the FactionTurnStart event and second the 'w' in wide should be lowercase not upper case.

Grab the docudemons and work with those.
