Default Sacking the cities without stop... is it possible?

Well, does anyone try before... sack every cities by horde without stop? Because I feel that it is quite difficult for a horde to settle down probably, as everytime when I just settle down, the enemy puts me into horde again after few turns... so can I just keep sacking cities by horde without settle down?

yes you can. you should sack alot of cities before you settle down anyway. and you should pick a good region to settle in as well. such as spain, if you sack all of romes cities in spain and take the ones at the bottom you wont have any enemies around you. so you will be able to develop and build an army before they come after you.

when I play as a horde faction I always sack every city that I can enroute to my settling place. Usually I sack about ten cities before I find a good location to settle down, it really depends on the faction though, as the Vandals I tend to sack more cities before I settle somewhere in Spain or close to the italian peninsula. And i think its very possible to sack every city before settling, of course you would have to hire lots of mercs as I'm sure your horde units wouldn't last that long, unless you are a miracle of a general.

As Huns, (The most powerful horde military) you should be able to sack all of italy, gaul, spain and possibly parts of Germany and the Balkans. As the Franks (in my view one of the next best options because you can break into gaul easily) gaul and spain should be easy to sack, and italy probably too.

I find if you wanna continue your pillage the longest, it's necessary to do every battle personnally (take advantages of Horse Archers) or hire some select groups of mercs.

These tactics let you sack the WRE freely, but probably require a re-horde somewhere. Note that the second horde (e.g. settle and horde) produces LESS troops than the first, and the third horde I believe does not give ANY horde armies other than ones in existance.

The best tactic for sacking as Huns is to send off three armies that you start with, as well as a competant general, to sack the Roxolani and continue around the Black Sea or to just go directly to the ERE's eastern territories. These armies will either sack the sassanids or the ERE. I find that if the sassanids are doing ok and you've attacked the ERE in Greece, then hitting Anatolia can be quite successful.

Or you could ally with the ERE and attack sassanids - frocing the ERE and WRE to break alliances and hitting the sassanids from two sides. This is recommended only if you are set on the WRE. I prefer taking on all of Rome at once - a rogue force destroying civilization on all sides.

BEst thing to do is not to auto-resolve! Massive forces are lost as the AI does not really use cav. as effectively as possible and it ruins your valuable horde infantry (even though they suck) because you need sufficient forces to get over walls when your infantry suck.

Either do sieges personnally or dedicate a force to starving 'em out.

Mercenaries drain huge funds - one merc. ballista took more than 4000 denarii after I sacked Rome!

The most fun comes from forcing nations in your path to horde - Roxolani, Sarmatians, Goths, Lombardii... but if you do this be prepared to starve out cities or lose lots of men - the barb. nations usually have one army - and it's behind walls. If you are eager for blood and early money, kill all before you. Plus hordes weaken the ERE and WRE at the fringes while you bypass exterior provinces and hit the interior.

If you don't want to spend forces on barbarians, just bypass them and go straight to Romans. Although for the most part you'll be the sole attacker, and as a result you can get cut down if you're not extremely careful.

Anyway that's what I do and it works... basically it's a Hun guide.

the resson why your horde keeps srinkin after setling is a comition of casultyes and the fact that you killed all the people in the town and the horde is much is larger with a larger population so doing that lots will get you al small horde , but if you settle and let the population grow you can re horde with a large horde

That's what you're supposed to do as a horde. There are two strategies with this:

    1. Sack all the major ERE cities in Eastern Europe, sack the WRE cities in Italy and France and then settle in the safe Spanish peninsula.

    2. Sack all ERE cities in Anatolia and Armenia and move towards Judea ... Settle eventually in the Anatolian peninsula.

My horde units last quite long when I sack cities...mostly because I protect them well with 'regular' units...

i personally dont think you can destroy all cities with a hord... there are many factions and citites that would fight really hard against you and everybody would hate you also you would lost too many units... you may try and let us know how many cities you successfully razed =)
    + 1 question:
i just started playing as Huns and i had looted about 110.000 di.
then i sateled down in greece - i have 3 cities (constantinopel, athens and the city between those 2 - cant remember the name) and about 75.000 di and i have a bit pozitive income also =)
what i want to know is, what do you think i should do next? prepare to sattle down and play as other factions or would it be better for me to prepare and go further as a horde?
