Let's stop complaining & enjoy the game

Yes, the map is small, the units looks EXACTLY the same, the campaign is too short, yes I get it. What could you expect from a game that is called "SHOGUN"????? It didn't call "EAST ASIA TOTAL WAR" or anything. If it did, I would've expect more too! Because it's called "SHOGUN" you know it's going to be about Japanese warlords slapping each other with katanas to be a Shogun. You also know that it's going to focus on Japan alone. You know that it's Japan, what would you expect? There are clans, and samurais fighting each other. What else?. OK OK, in 1590s, Toyotomi Hideyoshi led an invasion of Korea, but so what? The game didn't tag "Invasion of Korea" isn't it? CA has come a long way, and I see they added lots of new stuff to Shogun 2, compare to the first Shogun. Why don't you appreciate them for that? Have you ever played the first Shogun Total War? They only have 8 clans though. The map is just a drawn paper, I think I'd rather choose Shogun 2 over that. CA had done a great job, and you should be happy for that. Let's just enjoy the game, comment to CA, and wait what they'll do with the next game.

I find threads telling everyone to like something never work. In a way it`s a contradiction in itself and somewhat ignorant to think that one post telling everyone to stop complaining is going to stop everyone complaining. It`s really just an exercise in self-deluded pompousness. Sorry.

Just enjoy your game if you like it. End.

Stop playing the game and enjoy the falling cherry blossoms first. Yes in the warscape engine. With green tea in hand.

Like in MP match, both of you deliberately only put 1 immovable unit so you can pan around the map without minding the battle, just to appreciate the terrain. Then you start chatting on who gets to make a better haiku about cherry blossoms falling in the lap of the Daibutsu.

Ok aesthetics are not meant for everyone.

I tried to do that in Avatar Conquest. Not turned out very good

Yes it is quite hard to enjoy the game when every time i start a battle in campaign mode it is a slideshow and not a very fast one at that, while custom battles seem to run good.

Btw i liked Ran and Kagemusha but i don't like Shogun 2 that much. The same battlefields (with a couple of hills and forests and no special features) get boring after a while, the same siege maps get boring. The CAI kinda sucks as well, always trying to take castles and marching past my field armies, leaving a way open for me to take their last province is kinda fail. Kinda irks me how every AI faction is about mindless expansion with little regard to the provinces they already hold, was it really that bad in reality?

I like the game and have played it for over 200 hours. I am also looking forward to any DLC or expansions they have planed. I have a job and can afford what ever they put out.

Personally I believe there should be separate sub forums for "complaints" and "gossip". Honestly how much muck do I have to dig through to find any worthwhile posts? Just my opinion of course. Good day to you all.

Not everyone complain so thing would improve. Proof is in the many troll threads posted here. Sometime there are forks in improvement where one must choose this way or the other, not necessarily a step back. But some people here take it to heart where if they don't like a certain way then it is something wrong with the game... and everyone else is ignorant for not seeing it. When in fact, it is the gamer's own problems.

Not saying every threads are like that. Other constructive criticism threads are real and sincere.
