    Default Domvs Cornelii Victores

Welcome to the home of the Cornelii Victores

Tiberius Cornelius Victor is still new to the politics of Rome and only now is he beggining to make a name for himself in it's political scene. Cornelius' grandfather, Tiberius Cornelius Victor, was a veteran in many of the romans earlier battles and for that gained the cogname Victor.

Cornelius' family was always well known for it's warriors, but only now has it started to gain political influence, something that the young Tiberius will have to mold himself.

Cornelius is very patriotic, and fights for his people, and for his family, with all his might. But he is usual a good soul, that does not make it a habit to plot in the darkness or snear at his foughs.

Cornelius is fond of games and art in all it's forms, always calling to his home poets and philosophers that he has for friends.

So for any who want to show your poetry, talk of politics, debate philosophical issues, or simply want to relaxe and talk of life, you are more then welcome.

OOC: Did an update on the family tree to include an offspring of Tiberius, since I see it would take a while for him to find a wife and raise a child to adulthood His son, Lucius, is 14 years of age.

The Senator was escorted through the land of the Cornelii by a slave. Lucius, Tiberius' father, was advised of his coming, while in bed, and called him to enter.

In the main hall, Lucius and Tiberius appeared to greet their guest. Lucius was an old man, with withered skin and sun tanned. Hewas old, but his body had the composure of a person who in his youth enjoyed a physicly advantaged body.

Tiberius was not much like his father when it came to physical strength, for he never went to war. But he was a giant of a man, with broad shoulders and starting to pronounce a growing belly. He carried a short beard, that stayed in contrast with his father's clean face and shaved head (Lucius having a very militaristic look).

Lucius, being the Pater, greeted the guest first. he went to him and gave him a small bow of the head. Welcome, Senator. Me and my son welcome you to our family land... Make yourself confortable.

And with that he left, leaving the two senators to talk.

Cornelius smiled lightly and offered the senator wine and food. Welcome, Aetius Africanus. Make yourself at home. Tell me what you have to say, and I will hear you? What are your plans for Madre Roma?

Yes, yes, we do need to do higher investment in our infrastructure. But you seem to propose that we would do such imense investments and also prepare two armies at the same time. Where would we get the resources for such an ardeal, good senator? Asked Cornelius in his usual polite, but inquisitive way. He was afraid that this might be one more of those "Im going to rid Roma of all her problems!" person, who just had empty promises with no base. He would find out soon enough.

To answer your question senator there are mines that have recently discovered outside our city that bare iron silver and most importantly gold and lot's of it we could use that gold to manufacture coins and then later once those coins are manufactured we could used them to purchase the materials needed"

Cornelius was pleased to see that the man new well of the happenings in Rome. It showed that he was probably a well suited person to be given trust. But there was still daubt in Cornelius' mind.

But, in your research on the subject, how long would it take to prepare the tunnels and create the complex for the mining? Could it be done, the income seen, and the investements in infrastructior and army made in one turm? At this, Cornelius seemed sceptical

we Could use slaves to do the minning and the tunnals will need about 3 days to complete since the gold is not very far under ground and the minning camp will take 2 days that means it will at least take five days to complete the hole complex senator.

Complete the whole minning complex in five days? Being this the minning complex that would help fuel the income to create two legions and invest hardly in our infrastructure? I am truelly sorry, great Senator, for I do not wish to offend you. But do you think me for a fool? Said Cornelius, his gaze sharpened and stern. It was impossible to make such an undertaking in so little time. Rome was not built in one night, why would such a large scale project be?

OOC: At least in M2TW It takes at least 4 turns to make a good minning complex (which depending on the game can be the equivalent of 1, 2 or even 4 years). Saying it can be done in 5 days seems a bit of a stretch, don't you think? @.@

OOC: Good idea But you still haven't answered Cornelius about the 5 day thing, his impression of your character right now is that he's one of those "I promise to do this!" kinda guy. :S
