Default How stable is the script?

Hail wonderful people of Invasio Barbarorum,

I wanted to ask if you guys have experienced CTD and instability when using the script. In my personnel experience I have found that not activating it would reduce the CTDs tenfold. I seem to get it always pre-battle against the Roman empire as the Sassanid's. Strange thing is that I not once had a CTD as the WRE without the script active. I am assuming it is got to do with a sprite problem within either the Sassani or Roman armies.

    Thank you
    Hark

Well from my perspective I have found the script to be very stable but have included as an option a 4/6/12 tpy only script for people who may be experincing problems.

    Hail julianus,

Yes I do play with the reduced script option installed for the 355 campaign but still getting CTDs with Sassani vs. Eastern Roman battles. It is on and off also, in that I mean I sometimes get a CTD which may clear when I next load it. I am comparing this to the CTD free bliss I experienced with a WRE campaign I had. If you think It might be a sprite problem (so random not sure it is) let me know to send in some army stats.

    Thank you

Just to add in that in my Sassanid campaign I only get the CTDs vs. the Eastern Romans, and not against any of the immediate neighbors.

    Thank you

CTD's with battles can be as a result of sprites or vegetation. If you can get me pictures of the amry compositions I could check the sprites. They are not related to the scripts By not having the full scrip you are missing out on lots of extras plus the only way you will get foederati is via trigger in the scripts.

    Hail julianus,

Yes I know I am compromising sweet sweet game play features with ignoring the lady in the left hand corner, but I was ecstatic after a non-CTD run after an average of 10 CTDs an hour in my WRE campaign. God I want this mod to work, it is perfection as it is. Give me a day and I will get you army compositions tomm. of CTD culprits. It's too late today for me.

    Good night

Just before you retire to bed, may I suggest you uninstalling the RSII vegetation and installing the vanilla one to see if that helps with CTDs.

    Salut julianus

Will installing the vanilla vegetation de-stabilise the save? Not that it matters too much, as a Rome Total War mod player I am used to save compromising patches which make my campaigns fun but short lived.

    Thank you

No, it will not de-stabilise any saved games.

Yes I have uninstalled the RS2 vegetation, then installed the vanilla ones. I played the same Sassani save, but when I assault a Roman army I get the CTD. I think it is a sprite withing the Roman army. I'm not sure how to load up a image onto this site, but can provide a written manifesto of troop composition of both my own and Roman troops.

    Thank you

In my 361 campaign, every time I try to beseige a roman city as the visigoths, the siege is somehow lifted by the next turn. Is this part of the script, or an error, and how can I change it? Its quite frustrating.

This is scripted for 12 turns for both the romans and goths.
