Faction Resurrection This submod makes it possible to resurrect fallen kingdoms.
Gondor
When Rohan has fallen, you can resurrect it when playing as Gondor.
Steps:
- You must hold Minas Tirith.
- You must capture Edoras.
- You must accept that you want resurrect Rohan.
- You must leave Edoras with all your troops!*
During the time, where Rohan is destroyed, you can recruit very rare a Rohan Riders unit in Minas Tirith.

* I found no way, to give a settlement to another faction via script. So you must leave the region with your troops, after accepting to resurrect the faction.
Otherwise the faction will eliminate your troops. In the next turn, after the faction is resurrected, you will be automatically get allied with the faction.

A great idea and workout Now there'll be a lot less worrying about if Gondor and Rohan get smashed by Isengard/Mordor/Harad because you'll be able to ressurrect them once you hold their former territorities
Thank you a lot for this! I hope this will find it's way in MOS or 3.0!

and why would u do that??
i would use that territory to expand!?
I think that if they are once raped they don't need to live!

I would do that because I'd consider the other free people and nations of middle earth "friends", which would deserve that little help But, to put it simply, I enjoy the game a lot more if I know that I'm not the only good faction left and have to deal with endless stacks of Mordor, etc. I'm only playing with the good guys anyways.

I will soon release it for MOS, too. Also for FROME.
When you resurrect them have they only Edoras or Minas Tirith?
Yes. Like I said it isn't possible to change the settlement owner via script. But you can capture them, and give it to them with the diplomat. =)
Maybe in a later version I will make, that you can give it to them after capturing it.
Great idea, but you said that you couldn't find a script for something? You can use the "buy city with cash" script for that. It gives the faction a city and moves your troops.

Intriguing. Any idea where to find this script flopsies? Or do mean it's a scripting command (I didn't think there was such a command)?
Another option might be to spawn a general or diplomat for Rohan (dead faction) and a diplomat for Gondor next to each other and let the player do a "give region" diplomacy action. It's not as nice as happening automatically perhaps but it avoids losing your troops and you get an official handover ceremony (if you call two diplomats talking a ceremony). Plus I'm not sure how you go about spawning characters from dead factions.
In your notes it says "Gondor can resurrect Gondor" did you mean "Rohan can resurrect Gondor"?
Yes, I've changed that.

Good idea. I will test that. =)
I'd suggest you'd need to hold more territories, at least 3. Or a few key settlements like for example Hornburg or Dol Amroth.
Yes, you're right. That would avoid, that you can resurrect a faction, while having only a few settlements. =)
I agree that it is fun but that don't change anything about their chances in war-they will still be raped and u will still had to rescue them!?
u will better use that settlements??
and only faction worth of rescueing is gondor-others don't do anything
