Altering Starting Faction Cities/Generals
I've gone through the various topics regarding city ownership/changing faction ownership, and the like. I remain stumped. Here's what I'm trying to do:
I want to start a Campaign as the Greek Cities... but with only Sparta as a starting city.
Here's what I've done thus far:
1) I cut and pasted every Greek city except for Sparta down to the "Slave" faction list. Specifically, I pasted the cities at the bottom of the Slave settlement list.
2) I cut and pasted every Greek general to the Slave list, as above (at the bottom).
a. I removed all instances of these generals from the Greek faction.
b. I removed their surname (of Sparta), changed them to simple generals, and gave them an age of 20 (like the rest of the slave generals). They have retained their original first names. One of them has the same name as one of the remaining Spartan generals in the Greek list.
3) I re-organized the Greek family tree.
a. All children are in the proper order.
b. All non-adult males are ahead of all women, even adult ones.
c. All children are of proper age as relates to the parents, and possess the proper surname.
d. All non-adult males and all women have the never_a_leader line.
4) I deleted the .rwm map file.
The standard response I get is a return to the menu selection screen.
I'm attaching the pertinent portions of my desc_strat.txt file for anyone that's interested in checking it out. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out.

Under the Honoured Patronage of Quintus Maximus Adopted by Valus
Bestows Patronage upon NobleNick
The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved.

Do you have -show_err enabled? If you don't know what that is, may i suggest using the search function and you should find countless threads explaining it.

I was under the impression that the "show err" function applied to CTD issues, only. The game simply reverts me to the selection screen (e.g., Imperial Campaign, Continue Campaign, etc.).
I'll re-look the subject, all the same.
Does my actual process for changing the ownership look OK though?

If it throws you back to th emain menu, exit the game and it will give you an error message.
