The tournaments are monthly so that if some people can only make a certain month, they still have the ability to participate in some tournament or another.

You forgot to mention what faction you will play as.

It's okay. Do you still wish to play in the tournament? It's not a big deal if you get only a few games in. When people don't get a chance to play any games we remove their names. If they play even 1 game that's fine, we include that in the scores. There's enough cake for everybody.

Trust me when I say I understand

it's no big deal. You're always welcome to pop right in even during the middle of a tournament. There's nothing official about them...at least when it comes to the team that develops the mod itself.

By the way people, v1.1 of the EB Online MP EDU is not to be used for this summer's monthly tournaments. v2.0 was commissioned earlier this month and is scheduled for release on Monday the 23rd (unless notified otherwise).

Never actually tried that. I would assume anything that isn't parity-mandatory for MP (such as skins?) would not affect MP compatibility. Don't quote me on that!

It works but desyncronisation prob may occur, and that's not so serious.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but this is a problem. We can't accept desynced games because they can't provide points to the 'winner'. I don't know if you've played many desync battles, but I have. Desyncs are unreliable because we can have two winners for such battles (desync battles are essentially those in which each side plays a completely different battle since their screens show completely different space-time paths). And we can't award a point to both sides of a battle. If it means no custom environments, I'm sorry, but we have to live with that. But I would first test it out. Install the custom environments and play a battle with somebody. If you are 1) able to join successfully and 2) do not have any problems or notices during gameplay, let us know that it works fine and continue playing that way as you please!

Oh,I've got a question actually,is this played on steam?Or where else? It will be my first time playing an online EB match.Also,is there a money and time limit? Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for writing. Will you also be able to join in July? These take place every month but normally it's only in the summer months when there are enough players to go around. If you read the information provided on the website at www.ebonline.tk you will see that the game is played by way of a virtual local area network (VLAN) system using the software called Hamachi. That's why we play battles through the LAN option in the game's menu. You can play friendly matches with anybody on the network anytime you wish, so that's a good way of getting a feel for things.

I'm also joining in July then,but from the 11th till the 21st I won't be able to play due to personal schedule (yes I do have a life outside of gaming

). Thanks for the advice to play some friendly matches,I'm gonna need it against so many hardened EB veterans.
