Reached brickwall editing projectiles table - need help!
For anyone with previous experience modding the projectiles_table and gun_type_to_projectiles_tables in ETW or NTW I would greatly appreciate your help!
I have been creating projectile mods for the Shogun European Cannon and but have only successfully been able to replace the round-shot with other projectiles used in the game, for example the fire rockets.
Now I really want the cannons to fire cannister-shot like in Empire and Napoleon and I thought it would be simple...
Surely all I would have to do is look at the cannister-shot entry in the NTW projectiles_table then copy the same values into a new custom projectile for the Shogun cannons.
However when I create the custom projectile entry the cannons only only fire one musket-ball! 
Now I know about the "number of pellets" value and when I checked it was indeed set at 80 (same as in NTW).
So for some reason changing the "number of pellets" from "1" to any other higher value in the projectiles_table is not working.
Is this the sole reason why I can't get cannister-shot to work for the European Cannons?
Is it there something else needed in the game files for this ability to be copied into Shogun?
Any thoughts, ideas, tests or opinions will be greatly appreciated!

Editing gun_type_to_projectiles_tables will let gun fire custom projectile constantly, but not when you want it to fire one. Editing unit_special_abilities_tables will let you gun fire custom projectile with fire arrows ability but only once, and after reload ability will take no effect. I still cant figure out how to change that. here is unfinished mod for cannons grapeshot fired with fire arrow ability (still cant add custom ability). delete entries for euro cannons from gun_type_to_projectiles_tables. i can see only one way, it is to create custom cannon unit with grapeshot as default ammo or give all cannons shrapnel ammo( edit projectiles_explosions_tables) invented in XIX / artillery bombs invented XVII, and this is absolutely unhistorical.
