Medieval 2 Encountered an Unspecified Error and will now close...

I was on my 130th something turn playing as the Roman Empire and I was just finishing conquering Anatolia. All of a sudden, right before loading any of my savegames, the game crashes with the following message. Never got this before with any other mod nor vanilla MTW2. Help?

Which year is it exactly?

The year is like 1204-06. Concerning the system logs, I'm not sure what you mean. Is that the Event Viewer software? If so, here it is:
Faulting application drwtsn32.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module dbghelp.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x0001295d.

P.S I was just able to load a much older save game from before...so that's good.

The log is a text file which is located in the m2tw vanilla directory inside a folder called 'log'.

Mongolian, this is caused by infamous siege script bug related to the 4th crusade. As long as it is switched on (so crusading armies are on the map trying to conquer the city), you will experience problems with re-loading game.

Workaround is this: do not save the game as long as two crusading armies are on the strat map, do not make any important moves, do not fight any crucial battles. Your saves will be fine after those two armies conquer Constantinople or they are defeated.

Yeah because it started exactly 1 or 2 turns after the Crusaders sieged Constantinople. Anyway I'm playing about 15 turns from my initial savegame so it's not a big problem so far. Thanks a lot for your efforts!

Hi there. I have the exact same problem with the OP. The bad thing is ... i have no save before the siege :/ and all saves that i try to load go CTD. Is there something i can do ?
