Default how would you describe the Campaign ai in this mod

So im thinking about giving this mod a go once i finish my DMUC campaign for empire. As we all know, the vanilla CAI in M2TW was utter crap. So my question is, how would you say the CAI is in this mod. Is it challenging? are alliances respected? Will the ai respond to territorial trades, honor ceasefires? And most importanly....do you guys like it?

What can i expect i guess is what im saying.

I find it to be very well done. I'm not sure how intolerable it is on Very Hard, if the AI's breaks alliances and acts insane or not as I don't play on that setting. The way the game is structured, it's challenging enough on Hard, and it takes forever to build up the infrastructure you need even for some basic troops, and that's without plagues and random events.

On Hard, the Ai responds very well in campaign. I have never had an alliance broken, and allies often bring their troops to my territory for visits.Even as the KoJ, when a jihad was called on Mosul (in my possession) several Islamic factions did not join up against me when we were either allied or friendly through mutual allies, including the Ayyubids.

Diplomacy can be another matter, though it mostly works well and as expected (ceasefires, trade, etc all fine) as is being discussed in another thread, many have had no luck getting an ally to attack an enemy faction as agreed upon in diplomatic negotiations. They accept the deal, usually for a large sum of money, but then do nothing.

I suspect at this point that any attacks made would be coincidental... that ally was already on the verge of war with the enemy. but everything else works well.

CAI responds to most decisions you make which can end up leading to your doom
AIs being allied to eachother usually stick together and help eachother out, playing as Georgia I attacked the Turks to help my ally the ERE and a few turns later the Turks' buddies the Seljuks and the Abbasids showed up attacking me with full stacks The Kypchaks took advantage and besieged my northern settlements with a full stack. Completely surrounded I lost

Most AI have a predictable expansion path though, Ghorids attack India, Ayyubids go into Arabia to Mecca, take some cites in Syria than exterminate the Crusaders, Abbasids go into Fars.

What I noticed though is if the AI is one of these: Ayyubid, Turkish Sultanate, Armenia they expand very fast and become superpowers. Ayyubids being nearly unstoppable if you started far from them and you face them late in the game.

BC places a lot on emphasis on your reputation, too. So if you attack enemies for no reason and slaughter them out of hand, there's a good chance other factions will be less likely to make agreements with you. Some factions can be wholly against you, as in my campaign where I've managed to annoyed Khwarezm enough so that they don't want to trade with me (even though it'd be mutually beneficial!! arugh im so poor )

    Of course, I love BC

The AI gets major bonuses (lower recruitment costs, extra money, etc.) plus garrison scripts. Otherwise, it's decent.
