    Default Help with Battle_Models file in armour upgrade.

    Hi. I want to add a heavy mail upgrade to mounted sergeants for the saxons (I'm in the process of creating them using various helpful guides from this forum) but I'm not sure how to do it. I've used the battle_models file before but I'm no expert with it. What gets me is how to tell it to use heavy mail because I think it's on the same file as light mail. So here is my entry for mounted_sergeants_ug2. All I've done so far is change the name so if someone could help me with how to give them heavy mail I'd appreciate it.

    Copy the Mailed Knights ug1 mesh files and rename them to these, then put them in the en_lmail_hmail folder.
    Mounted_Sergeants_ug2_lod0.mesh

    Mounted_Sergeants_ug2_lod2.mesh
    Mounted_Sergeants_ug2_lod3.mesh

    Add the upgrade to the EDU.

    Thanks for the help, I've got them wearing heavy mail now, the only problem is that they have lances now too. Is it possible to keep their spears?

    Yes, but you will have to use Milkshape or 3dsmax to remove them, look at it this way, they weren't supposed to have an heavy mail upgrade, so an upgraded lance is a small price to pay.
