I'm totally stumped as to why this has not been posted, but the animated series Futurama is making a comeback in the form of four movie length DVDs, which will begin recording in july or august. Billy West, who voices about half the characters on the show, has confirmed this himself on his own website.

I don't live in America so I haven't watched Fox TV, but we get plenty of their shows in Britain and I can't understand why they let shows like Futurama and Firefly end when there was so much promise left in them...

But futurama?
I have no idea why they halted that project.

I wonder why they choose DVD's in stead of TV broadcast.

A few years ago, Fox pulled a lot of good shows off the air. When Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Greg the Bunny, Firefly, Titus, Undeclared, Family Guy, and Futurama were pulled to make room for crappy reality shows.
Fox finally brought back Family Guy, and now they're realizing their mistake in pulling Futurama. They've still got a long way to go before they gain even a modicum of respect from me.

Futurama is liquid, fermented, pasteurised and all-improved genius. I have all the episodes on DVD and watch one a night, every night. It's only a pity about this 'movie-length' approach thing, because the show really doesn't strike me as being suitable for such a format. Just coming to their dumb-assed senses and producing more on TV, as it should never have come off, is what should be done. Damn it.
