    Default CPU making sounds...

Well I was watching some videos, and I noticed that everytime when I excute an application my CPU always make little buzzing sounds, the exact same sound my old 1 ghz Pentium 3 made. Is there anything I should be aware of here?

CPU don't make any sounds, my friend. The hard drives however, do. Are you refering to those?

maybe a fan loose or obstructed, my girlfriend's 2 yr old laptop does the same thing.

Try opening it up and vacuuming the dirt inside, and checking for loose fans.

Well thats good to know, I was afraid my CPU is going to its miserble end

I'll take off the fan and clean the heatsink a little, I haven't done that in a while, and those tornado fans just sucks in anything that comes near it.

Buzzing sounds are what Hard drives make when they are asked to do work, by the way. So if you were executing big programs that sent your hard drives spinning like hell....

Those tornado fans move a LOT of air...and vibrate the hell out of a PC. I had a P4 1.4 @ 2Ghz and when that Tornado would kick in, the case would lift an inch off the desk...
Consequently, It vibrated so badly that is separated the HSF from the cpu...I don't have to tell you what else happened...
