Strange Cursor Problem in Total War games

I've had this in M2:TW, ETW and now NTW. Something causes the cursor to turn into two zigzagging lines. Even when I quit the game it stays that way. If I try to change the look of the cursor in the control panel, it's a different screwed up shape. It seems I have to reboot to fix it. In M2:TW I found that hovering the cursor on a certain part of the screen brought it back to normal, but it doesn't work in NTW.

What mouse are you using ?

I had this problem before and im sure it happens as something went bad with the cursor you need to go into control panel then open hardware and sound go to mouse and change the pointer see what it is etc.

If you find any unusual things report it here.

It is nothing serious i had it for 2-3 weeks and fixed it i just changed my mouse pointer also depending on what mouse you have sometimes it can be a conflicting software problem.

Do you have "mousetrails" enabed?

IF you have an ATi / AMD gpus its cursor corruption newest drivers should fix it and its a rare occurance made more common by dual gpu setup and or multi monitor setup.

I had it in the past with nvidia card,changing mouse won't fix anything,try another driver
