Baffling Multiplayer Problem

- Are you using steam or not?
No, neither is anyone else

- Install path
E:\Games\Activision\Rome - Total War

- Which launcher option have you used
RomeTW.exe using the custom multiplayer launcher from Hellhound

I'm trying to play the game with 3 other friends and we appear to have the exact same checksums. They can see each other in LAN (using Hamachi) but I can't. I CAN see them in the internet games browser, but when I try to connect it just gives me a (GS) error and I can't connect. They can connect to each other and play fine. I'm not using a router and I don't have a firewall installed, windows firewall is disabled as well. I don't seem to have issues hosting in any other game. We're all 3 using fresh installs, and as I said, have the same checksum. Any help is appreciated.

Can you just explain what you mean by can't see them in hamachi? You're all in the same network right?
Also, are you able to screenshot the error please?

I can see them in Hamachi, dots are green and I can host in any other game just fine. There's no error we just can't seem to connect to each other. I don't so much as have an anti-virus installed so I don't know what the issue is.

Well this is the first time i've heard of this, so i'll try it step by step

Can you ping one of your friends in hamachi? Do you get a connection back? Can they also see you in hamachi?
Also, alt-tabbing out of the game will cause you to vanish from the lobby or game, so if you're constantly both alt tabbing in and out you may not see eachother!

I can ping them both just fine in Hamachi, I also tried both windowed and fullscreen mode WITHOUT alt tabbing (as I'd read in other threads that that can cause problems). Still no use. I really appreciate the help so far though
