you mean the green "arrow markers" underneath the units...
yeah...they look as it would be a comic...really annoying...
go to Activision/ Rome Total War/ Play_Rome (Campaign you Play) / preferences / preferences.txt
look for: DISABLE_ARROW_MARKERS:FALSE and set it to TRUE
