    Default Ghazni/Ghorid positions in 2.3

Hello. I'm sorry if this has been answered but I didn't see any threads about it so I decided to register for the forums because I was really curious.

Why did the Ghaznis and the Ghorids have their positions from 2.02 switched for 2.3? I don't understand why their starting regions have been exchanged. I mean, how can they be the Sultanate of Ghazni if they don't even have Ghazni anymore? I'd be very grateful if anyone can explain the reasons behind it.

And thank you to the dedicated people who work on BC. It's a real pleasure to play such a great mod.

What steaky said. The political borders seem to have been redone to be more correct. In 1173 the Ghorids took Ghazni, and since the mod takes place in 1174 the political borders have been readjusted.

Yep, in 1170's Ghaznavids were pushed into their Punjab possessions by Ghurids, and in 1180's Ghurids killed last Ghaznavid sultan.

And they are not called "Sultanate of Ghazni" anymore, but "The Ghaznavids".

Ah, thank you. The level of research you do on this stuff is impressive. I'm glad to know there was some historical context behind the switch.
