    Default Whats the catch...

    Well...

What is it. A monitor like this is normally £120 easily. There must be something wrong with it surely?

I don't know, if theres not I will be more than a bit annoyed that i missed it for a more expensive 19inch one.
It might have been a display unit (used in a store to advertise the product) or something similar, but I cant find any signs supporting that.

Cant see much wrong with it myself, although i steer clear of tn panels. But for the price...

Dunno hunt around the web for reviews/comments as to what people think..

Acer are generally very good though.

You get what you pay for although I have to say I'm looking to get my Dad a new computer screen and that just about ticks all the boxes, thanks for the link.

    edit:

I've just been reading the detailed specs. It's still a good buy as far as I'm concerned (it even has free delivery!) but even though it's 'full HD' there's no HDMI so if you planning on use this to run HDCP protected content you will have to use the DVI port and there's no guarantee that the DVI is HDCP compliant (although I would have thought by 2011 all DVI's sockets would be by now).

120 euros is equal to $174 USD. An Acer 21.5" LED backlit monitor costs $140 USD here in the US. 89 euros is just a hair cheaper than in the US so there is nothing unbelievable about that price. What I find unbelievable is how you say it should cost 120 euros...

I'm not sure what's more amusing, the fact you think "£" is a euro sign, or that you're trying to start an argument over the price of monitors.

Holy crap, 120 british pounds are equal to $197 USD. You folk are really getting screwed over if that's the amount you would expect to pay. And it's not an argument, simply a fact that your prices suck.

    That price includes VAT.
