the roman rebels appear in the 3 turn. if you destroy them (ex: turn 20) will they appear again in the huge rebellion?

you mean in the second rebbelion? yes unless you wipe out there home settlement, i think there was a post about that recently terra incognita or something?
Yes, Terra Incognita is the home city of the Roman Rebels, however i was under the belief it was supposed to be unreachable, yet some people have managed![]()
there are two cities. One is for the Free People and is located at the bottom left corner of the map. Anyone can capture this and it will grant the capturing faction with control over Ireland, Arabia, Scandinavia, and the entire Sahara.
The city for the Roman rebels is located on Aland or Gotland. It is a city entirely surrounded by impassable terrain and thus unreachable for the players or AI. If the Roman rebels have the city in the bottom left corner of the map, the half of the campaign map would be blue.

meh, I Once try to use my high tech teleportation Legionwhen I curious if the second rebellion trigger will cause CTD or not when Roman rebels are destroyed. And there is no CTD, just no 2nd rebellion at all

the 2nd rebellion will trigger no matter what .....IF: if the roman faction will surpass 85+ Settlements and IF the roman faction leader has adquired the caesar trait (in your case the second probaly did not happen) ... when roman rebels are destroyed before the 2nd rebellion there is no AI controlling these units after they spawned...so they just hang around doin nothing ...a zombie rebellion to say so...![]()

So when DOES the 2nd rebellion come? will it be as strong as the first or more?
EDIT: nvm, chris answered it
What historical rebellion is it supposed to represent? caesar vs pompey?
To be honest what bothers me is not the roman rebels, its the black rebels or "free peoples" they spawn every where like rats, taking lightly defended cities or blocking trade, forcing me to keep big garrisons in every single city... ofcourse I could have legions of locals to "mop up" in each territory... but that will cost me tooand the effort in organizing them.

A mix between Pompeius Magnus vs Caesar and Marcus Antonius vs Caesar's nephew, Octavius; I guess.
I once managed to invade the terrae incognitae. This caused the seconde roman rebellion not to happen, I guess, for it didn't. And I don't see what else could also have done this.![]()
