Unable to launch game; error upon loading

Hello,

I have installed the mod, extracted from eleven pieces using WINRAR, but when I attempt to start the game, it loads, I see the Medieval 2 Total War startup screen and then I get a CTD with a error message only giving a yellow triangle in a small message box (like the one on the topic image).

User control allowed, installed as admin, removed desc_water, etc, and Better Water.
Removed base from maps.
Replaced descr_missions.
Removed teutonic in mod folder.
C:\Users\My name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods <--- HERE there is no "teutonic" in my comp.
I use Crescent Cross mods and Third Age, but I've never had any conflicts playing either of those.

Does this mod require a clean slate of M2TW install?

Oh, and my game is not run through steam, and I have Win7.
