i was just downloading dlv the other day and i noticed that the independent sovereignties havee their own sword and crown and as they are what their name suggests should nt they be completly different states or organizations so why would they have a communal crow and sword

Technically, giving out lots of different banners and titles to the indies would be more accurate (the Marquisate of Tuscany comes to mind here, as does the Crown of Aragon). But it's my understanding that the game code only allows so many distinct banners and factions. The "independent sovereignties" are basically an "other" list for all the little things in Medieval Europe that couldn't be fit onto that list-- and due to that space limit, they have to share one banner and faction title.

But let Taji or TaronQuinn or one of the other people that gets computers say that before you take my word for it. I suck with programming, I'm just here cuz I love the game.
