I have version 4.5 and I have no clue how to play TGW online with others lol. I'm in a chat with other TGW players but no1 has 4.5.

When I try to create a MP TGW match, the game immediately has a CTD. I select Europe campaign (which I assume is the problem). People have talked about MP campaigns with this mod, so I assume it is possible, but how exactly?

Yes Multiplayer campaigns don't work currently, this is due to the fact that we mod folder our startpos, however in coming updates Topcat has created a neat little something that allows for mod foldered Multiplayer campaigns aswell as single player ones, so everything multiplayer will work fine.

The way the TGW team has played MPC's in the past is to copy the startpos and scripting file from the ww1_main folder and overwrite the mp_eur_napoleon folder.

Thanks for the explanation. If anyone wants to try a MPC with 4.5 using the changes Mitch mentioned, I would love to do so.

This has probably been asked 10,000,000 times, and there was probably an answer buried in the massive page pile that is the preview thread, but what is the approximate date for 5.0's release?

Here are my approximations of the team's release dates:

    5.0 - Summer 2011 (as Mitch said)

tanks fully implemented - approx 2077

trench systems fully implemented - shortly after the supernova of our sun

naval combat and models fully implemented - sometime around the heat death of the universe

It'll be well worth the wait though. I have faith in the TGW team!

Until a more accurate date is suggested, the approximate date is either October 15, 2257 at about 3:42 PM GMT or somewhere between now and the previously mentioned date.

Summer 2011. Though whatever exact release date that will be, it is surely getting exponentially closer, as we are making great progress, faster than we had assumed.
