Epic
I decided to start a new campaign in ETW using the latest DMUC just to see if the game still had replay value in comparison to STW where I finished two campaigns and feel a bit bored with it.
Now, ETW kind of took it's course as usual where I take over the Americas and assert myself on the continent, but the move against India really brought in the "epic" factor.
I purchased Goa from the Mughals and then they declared war so I sent 3 stacks of crack troops from England along with a large number of ships and I retook Goa, but then came in the Mughal hordes. What resulted was 3 full full Mughal stacks against 1 full stack and a weakened stack of British troops. I was outnumbered 3-1 and my weakened stack which was the attacked stack was completely routed because I had a poor deployment zone and the AI was able to bring in reinforcements on my flank. But my reinforcements were able to take up position along a stone wall line that was beneath a large hill.
What ensued was a truly epic battle that involved multiple movements to maximize firepower in conjunction with timely cavalry charges to protect the flanks. Throughout the whole battle I kept thinking that I was going to be overrun by the Mughals, but my troops held the line and I achieved a Pyrrhic victory. The battle lasted nearly an hour to boot.
I must say that I got more fun out of this one battle than all of my battles in Shogun, and this is the main drawback for me.
Just thought I'd share that, I'll probably make a video or take some screens from the replay.

Re: Epic
I understand you, there is no need for screens(for me), but other people may start whining about the Ai and stuff, but in Empire you can fight with so different enemies(native americans, europeand, russians, ottomans, maratha and so on) and that was making the awesomness, a thing that is complatly lacking in S2...
