Downloaded & installed as per instructions.

From the launcher I am getting:

I have Blue & Gray ACW 2.5 installed. Could that be a conflict?

Im not getting any of the proper faction names or unit descriptions and names.

Im also only being allowed to buy the original units,militia and sepoys.

I guess you have other modfiles in your data folder mate. unit_compatibly_project_xxx etc.
Please take a look into your folder, it should look like this: data folder vanilla ETW

I had two of some old mod,I'll check it now.

Failing that Im guessing I'll need to reinstall

The BEIC launcher was reading Blue & Gray whilst functioning.
I took a guess that was what the problem was & it seems I was correct.

Okay it works but no custom battle with the BEIC as a faction and still getting the vanilla units to recruit.

Yup,everything is as it should be but recruitment and custom battles.

You can...

A) Change your modfile to movie packfile with PFM
or
B) Edit the user.empire_script in the folder data\BEIC\

In both way it should work fine mate

No mate, it is fully mod-foldered. You can simple after closing the launcher play vanilla as before.

Either a corrupted file or something messed in your folders.
Try the file i have attached here. Replace with them your existing file BEIC_db.pack in your data\BEIC\ folder.
