Arsenal of Democracy vs HoI3

I've been an huge fan of EU3 and wanted to try their other big franchise.

The thing is I am undecided between the two games mentioned in the title, usually I would go for the most recent one (HoI3) but I've been told AoD is much better and more immersive than HoI3, so I just wanted some opinion, which is better? What exactly is the differences between too? Which is the most immersive and detailed?

AoD all the way. its basically HoI 2 except way improved. I liked it way better than HoI 3 and found it way less confusing. Or you can get the new Darkest Hour which just came out that comes with both WWII and WWI campaigns.

What are exactly the differences between AoD and DH? I know DH has a new map and campaigns but what more?

I really just want to know if it's worth buying AoD from Impulse (due the promotion) or wait until a better HoI based game get a discount

You can play both AoD and DH at the same time if you want. AoD has reworked industry and extra tech slots, and DH allows you to claim provinces.

I prefer HOI 3 with semper fi it is a much better game than HOI 3 was at launch. HOI2 is still fun, but HOI 3 is a larger more complex game. HOI 2 would be easier coming from EU3 though because it is slightly simpler like the EU games.
