    Default Table: cdir_unit_qualities???

    This is driving me nuts...
Can anyone tell me what this table does for certain?
In PFM they are all unknown fields in this table (unknown 1~4). Some of the fields are pretty obvious but others are not.

I would specifically like to know what the Unknown4 (int) field represents and what are the values that go into it?

+rep for all that can give me logical/correct info.

I believe it is recruitment priority.

So "0" in some unit cases means there is no AI priority? Has anyone tested to see if setting just 1 unit at 1000 and all others at 0 will cause the AI to produce all stacks with that 1000 priority unit?

My understanding is that priority is based within the unit's class. So, if there are two sword units, one katana samurai and another a katana hero the AI will recruit the latter if it is able because the recruitment priority is higher. If it's marked at 0 it won't recruit that unit of that unit class type but I believe all the 0s are MP units or unique generals. I hope this makes sense.

    Ok, I'm following you.

Adding in the unit class table makes sense. Now I can see there are several 1000 priority units for a clan but they are different classes.

I did play with the unit qualities in fact. They do matter. If you recognize, some of them have clan specific units.

Keep also in mind that (I believe in kv_rules) there are parameters for armor/weapon/morale/accuracy/charge values. These are the additional stuff you can get on the units with the specialty buildings (armory for example, gives extra armor; horse breeders give charge bonus). If you increase those quality bonus values, the AI will tend to recruit more of those units, yet, can not overdo that, since it watches out for economy as well. You also need to keep an eye on the melee/cavalry/range_heavy etc. definitions on the junctions tables.

    Good luck
