what I want to do is add a building which is for private merchants but when your treasury is negative you can go here and request loans to payed back in so many turns with a nominal % added to the capital only result or consequence of not paying is you cannot request another loan until the last one is payed! and 05% is added to the principle each turn unpaid.
and if this can be done I would greatly appreciate someone telling me how and helping me do it! thank you very much!

I know you can trigger events (y/n decisions by clicking on certain buildings & of course getting a fixed result)
may be the way this could be implemented is you only have access to one big "loan" or "grant" rather & the monitor terminates after the first use.?

This is a feature of DLV, so you can look there and see how it's been done.

sorry but I do not fully understand? I understand DLV has a Banking system but do you mean I need to download it and copy the script and building information (which goes in the edb. and Buildings text?) if that is your suggestion I would be using DLV work so would I make inquiries or requests for usage to you Taiji or Harry Lyme?

I mean you can learn to script what you want by seeing how it has been scripted in DLV. You probably don't have to do it exactly the same, and if you do then it hardly seems fair that DLV (or anyone else) is allowed to steal from the rest of the community purely by virtue of being first to do something pretty obvious. Just credit DLV as your inspiration or guide or whatever, I doubt anyone will have a problem with your doing that.

There is only the campaign_script to look at.
Any events used will require setting up with text, as usual.
That's it.
And I suggest you use DLV6.2; if you use my BB mod's campaign_script for reference then it will be harder to work out what's going on.

I remember I asked this very question on gamefaqs for RTW a few years ago before I had a TWC account or even knew about TWC for that matter. I was told to just use the add_money cheat and keep track of the interest to pay back myself on pen and paper, which is what I've been doing since. It would be fantastic to have an actual banking system in game.
