Default UI Suggestion to Help with Battle Frustrations

A non-responsive UI is one of the traits that come up when I think about TW games. A click doesn't do what it is "suppose" to do. This happens in both battles / campaign maps and menus.

Here I'm just addressing a frustration that happens often in the battle map. When I tell a unit to move somewhere with a right click, the unit doesn't do it.

With a friendly unit is selected, a right-click is suppose to perform two actions: either attack an enemy unit or move to location of click. I noticed that when the right click happens on top of a friendly unit, nothing happens. Obviously I did not wish to "attack" my friendly unit, the only reason for me to click on that spot is to move my units there. Instead of just ignoring my move command, please change it so my unit will move to the spot of my mouse click.

Another problem is that when a unit A is ordered to charge unit B (via double right-click), if unit B moves away then unit A will charge to the location of the double right-click and stop. So that when cavalry is ordered to charge matchlocks, if the matchlocks moves back just a little bit then the cavalry will actually just stop next to the matchlocks and not do anything.

This is counter-intuitive since my order was to "attack the enemy unit," and not "move to this location." If I told my unit to charge another unit, please have my unit pursue the other units if he moves away.

All valid points and sometimes just game breaking when its a must win battle and the system decides to be contrary. Also tired of the bug where you ctr select unit types and find out that it decided to incorporate previously selected units in that command and half your army is now moving where you only wanted 3 units to go. Hope these get ironed out in the patch also.

The drag and drop unit card feature is another huge frustration to me in the middle of battles. Quite a few times in the middle of managing a battle I happened to drag a unit card out, and then it becomes a WTF moment where I try to put the unit card back, but some how that makes me pickup another unit card and my groups are all messed up now.

Please either take that feature out or allow us to disable it. "Drag and drop" may sound like a good feature, but it really interfers with a player trying to select individual units. The feature also doesn't added much benefit because the player can accomplish the intended result much faster with normal select and grouping keys.

Never realized it was drag and drop. Im an idiot! Though this may explain why the UI is buggy? Too much overlapping functionality?
