Thoroughly impressed with Naval combat.
I have to say, I didn't actually think I'd enjoy trying out the naval combat in this game, given that I primarily play as Germany I usually don't even bother making any sort of navy outside of 1 ship to prevent port-takeovers.
But I just played a quick skirmish, and was very pleased with how the pace played out, and surprised at how well the ai seems to adapt to the changes the team has made.
Was just curious if there are any more planned changes to the naval system outside of pure models - it seems to work pretty well right now, even though I had no idea what to do except try to keep up with the speed.

Re: Thoroughly impressed with Naval combat.
I think aswell as the models changes, other plans we have for the naval aspect of the game are probably creating new projectiles. As I'm sure you can tell, right now the projectiles aren't very WW1-ish. So the actual ordanance fired will probably change, perhaps in 5.0.
The actual ship models are something on a whole new level of hard to implement, so expect them some time after 5.0.
I'm sure aswell, as we haven't really attempted to do the best we can with the naval side of the game, as our attention turns more towards that at a later date, the gameplay will no doubt be tweaked and improved as we see fit.
None the less, I'm glad you'v enjoyed the naval side. I remember a few team matches between the devs with naval combat, it was quite epic.
