    Default Jihad_succeeded issue (SOLVED)

    Hello!
    I have a problem when the AI succeeded in a jihad.
    During the game a byzantium army attacks a moors city. After the auto-resolve, byzantium win, the moor garrison die, and then CTD.
    Do you have any idea about what may be happening?
    The log finishes when the game try to open the jihad_succeeded.tga picture, but there is nothing wrong in the picture.

    Are you using vanilla traits and ancillaries or one of the modded ones?

    I don't like the fmv error - looks like one of those family tree related crashes like we had in RegProv.

    The traits and ancillaries are the vanilla ones. I haven't modded them yet.
    The family trees are set to teutonic for all the factions.
    However the game crashes before the last three lines. They only appear when I accept the error window.
    I have found a similar error in the COW mod, but this one is about the historic_events.txt, perhaps it could have any relation:

    PS: Also I have noticed that when the jihad was called, the video was not displayed, just a black square on the event window. Maybe the problem is about the missing files or so?

    The historic_event error happens when a text entry has been forgotten in the txt file for an event. Unlikely this is the case here - this is a vanilla event.

    A missing event movie does not cause a crash afaIk - but I haven't tested that, and the pic was found:

    If it would be missing the generic message picture would be used - no crash through that either.

    Come to think of it: seeing that your mod will require modified text for the jihad I would suggest to check the event_strings and event_titles files in your data\text folder for faulty entries. Check if the lettering in between the curly brackets is all in CAPS and the spelling is correct. Also check that the type of bracket is correct.
    That will then take care of the historic_event error. If it is something else, then it gets tedious...

    From what I have the hard way, a bad trait or ancillary in vanilla tied in with events.

    In the descr_campaign_db.xml, how is bribery set?

    Edit: Gig just rang a braincell. I have had CS events fire and ctd because of no corresponding historic_events entries.

    Oh friends!
    You both are really mod-masters
    I had changed by error the event_strings file. The "Replace All" function played me a dirty trick.

    It was:
    {Sacrifice_succeed_body_eastern_european}
    when it should be:
    {jihad_succeed_body_eastern_european}
