Crashing at start

Upgraded to windows 7. Reinstalled Midieval 2 and Kingdoms. Ran 1.5 patch. Downloaded and installed 6.0 and the 6.2 patch. Now crashes when I try to start it up. Any ideas?

you should run Kingdoms.exe and Launch_DLV_Ext in win xp compabatility mode. (is it spelled that way?) It worked for me. You should install Taiji's Battlefield Balance in the mini-mods section. It makes the game much better.

Tried that and it still crashes when I start the program. Created a file outside of program files also but that didn't seem to help either.

Had the same happen to me when I updated. Pretty sure that some of the files didn't install right for me the first time through-- on the vanilla M2 (even before Kingdoms was in place). Game basically didn't load some important file. Might be your problem. The only answer I can give if that's the case is an uninstall-and-reinstall.
