end campaign gunpowder
I was wondering if the new BC will extend a bit and add some very very very early gunpowder units? Dont get me wrong, I love BC's lack of guns, but! you cannot beat that very akward time when gunpowder first got introduced in the middle east/europe as a weapon... just a suggestion...

Re: end campaign gunpowder
I am not into the gunpowder idea too much, but I agree with you about those early years and the strange hand cannons people introduced. One, and I mean one unit.... very primitive, short range noise maker for sieges and the like would be very cool indeed.
In fact, very strange weapons were used all the time. I'd rather be in the historical realism camp, where people tend to frown on including these units but sometimes a little open mindedness is good.
Everyone had their own special recipe for naptha or Greek fire for example. It was prevalent in siege warfare, thrown down on enemies and shot at incoming towers and rams. When the Crusaders arrived they had no answer for the kind they encountered at first, and could not put it out with the usual means -- water had no effect, sometimes just spreading it around. The trick was vinegar. I'm so happy naptha is in the game, but it wasn't just the Abbasids using it.
