Can't get this mod to work

I can't get this mod to work! Everytime I try to launch the game it gives me these error reports: "You don't have Roma Surrectum installed in the correct folder. (C:\Program1\Rome- Total War for SR2)" and "Engine: RomeTW.exe, Faction campaign: -mod:play_rome" and "In total: 'RomeTW.exe -mod:play_rome -show_err -nm -movie_cam'" Can somebody please help?

Needs to be installed over a clean copy of RTW.
Also, someone move to tech help?

I'm a bit noob in these things but could someone please explain what "clean copy" means?

It's a copy that does not have any modifications added to it. Just what you installed

Obviously not id your copy isn't clean or you installed it wrong.

Lets be polite here guys..

start by deleteing RTW from your computer, by uninstalling and deleting any files left.
Then download RS2, and put all the files into a folder called RS2 Files, on the desktop would be best.
Then install RTW to C:\RS2
When its finished, start the installer in RS2 Files, and install to C:\RS2.
Click "Yes" to any overwrites.
This should install a working RS2 for you

Usually the error from the first post happens when the mod was not installed to the 'game' folder (where the exes are).

if you have a modded RTW, can you make it "clean" while deleting the mods files?

Nope, it alters files that the game needs to run, so if you delete those, then the game cant run.
Installing RS2 over it may solve it, but some files might not be altered by RS2, so you'd end up missing some.
So simplest way is to uninstall, delete then reinstall

If you have a 'clean working copy of RTW' to install on it means that there is one less thing to go wrong - or one to tick off the list of possible errors.

Even when a mod is 'mod foldered' (i.e. all data for the mod is in it's own folder in the 'game' folder') I would not trust it to be 'clean'.
